Donna Benirschke
Donna, from Hammond, is currently serves Harding ES as a mentor, as Hammond Council’s second vice-president, as State BOM Field Representative. She also serves on the State legislative committee, resolutions committee, reflections committee, and member services commission.
Donna says she feels like she has been in PTA her entire life. Her parents were very involved in PTA. In 1952 her mother and friends started a PTA at a small rural school in Pulaski, IN. Her mother was their first president. As an adult she joined the PTA in 1963 when her first child entered Kindergarten. I served as membership chair and ways and means. In 1984, under the guidance of a former State PTA President, she helped Riley ES in Hammond change from a PTO to a PTA. As an advocate for children, Donna has served at the unit level as hospitality chair, substance abuse chair, legislative committee chair, ways and means chair, secretary, vice-president, president. At council level she has chaired substance abuse, legislative, hospitality, and ad book. Currently she serves as the incoming second vice president. At state level Donna has been on the State BOM for two years as a Field Rep. serving on the legislative, resolution, and member services committee.
Donna has received State Life, National Life awards. She also received the Jerry Spitzer Volunteer of the Year award from Hammond Council PTA.

Debbie Fox
Debbie Fox is our representative from Mishawaka and is serving as Council Coordinator and Resolutions Chair on Indiana PTA’s board of managers. She also is serving as the Mishawaka Council Treasurer, and will be helping to audit all nine Mishawaka PTA unit’s books this summer. Deb also helps with training units because of her council work.
Deb has been involved with PTA for over 25 years, joining when her son started Kindergarten and she has been involved ever since. Deb has held all offices for PTA and have been on a Schools boards as well as council boards. Deb says “I got involved because I know how important it is to have parents involved in your child’s school. You learn who the other children are that your child is around all day. You get to have an influence on your child at home and school.” Deb was a Field Service Representative for the state from 2009 until the present.
Deb has received both State and National Life Awards as they were known then.

Dee Jones
Dee Jones
Dee Jones has served as an advocate for children through PTA at the local, council, region, state and national levels. Dee values the importance of parent involvement and volunteerism in public education. Dee began serving as a leader in her son Brandon’s Head Start Program and soon after at Irving Elementary School PTA where she served as president for three years. Dee has served as President, 1st Vice President and provided leadership on numerous committees for Hammond Council PTA. Dee’s service at the state level includes serving as President and a number of leadership roles. She is Convention Chair for the 100th Celebration, Meeting Planner and a member of several other State Board committees. Dee was proud to have been elected the first African American President of the Indiana State PTA.
Dee is an elected Member Representative on the National PTA Board of Directors. She is currently the Chairperson Committee on Diversity and has been appointed to the Organizational Effectiveness and Accountability Committee. She served as National PTA’s Legislative Committee Chairperson which helped develop and introduce the Public Policy Agenda in 2008. Dee has also served on National PTA’s Strategic Planning Committee, National Council of States Structure Special Committee, Hurricane Katrina/Rita Task Force, and the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force.
Dee is the recipient of the Indiana PTA and the National PTA Life Achievement Awards.

Pam Stalling
Pam Stalling
Pamela Stalling is currently serving Indiana PTA as Northwest Field Service Rep,Diversity Chairperson and State Legislative Coordinator. She is a member of Bannaker, Westside Leadership Academy, Wirt-Emerson and Gary PTA Council.
As Field Service Representative her responsibilities include training local PTA units and help establishing new PTA units. As Diversity Chairperson she will be helping the State PTA identify minorities and underserved populations with representation across the State to serve as leaders within their PTA units. And as Legislative Coordinator she will help Legislative Chairpersons with the duties of contacting the State Legislators with concerns that effect our children’s education.
Pam states “Once my oldest child entered public school, I immediately became involved with the school’s PTA. I started with holding school office, then council office and now various positions with Indiana State PTA”.
Pam is involved with her church’s praise dance team, Women’s Day Committee, Bible Bowl Coach and South Shore Dance Alliance Parent Booster team.
